Join us for Woolfest

Boorowa is world-renowned for its fine Merino wool. In the late 1990s, the town launched a Wool Week event as a way of showcasing the beautiful wool from the region. This week long event featured wool shows, wool workshops and shearing displays around the town. It was soon decided that to make it a truly spectacular event, the community would condense it to a one-day festival during which the street would be closed to traffic. Thereby was born the Woolfest.

Annually held on the October Long Weekend, Woolfest now features the Running of the Sheep, a street parade, Irish dancing, shearing displays, local craft and produce stalls and a schedule of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

After a two year break due to COVID-19, Woolfest is back in 2022 and will be bigger than ever. We hope to see you there!

The Ned Ryan is already **SOLD OUT for the October Long Weekend. Contact us now if you would like to be added to the cancellation list.
